About from dre

from dre is my safe space to document the work, the decisions, and the things people typically skip over.

I’m a first-generation founder building a creative tech business without a playbook. Some days, that looks like progress. Some days it looks like friction, doubt, and figuring shit out in real time. This is where I write and record from the middle of all that, not after the story is cleaned up, packaged, or made presentable.

As Tie Odom would say, “the messy middle.”

Some posts are about my start-up SparQ Social
Some are about creativity, leadership, and pressure.
And some are just about me and the shit that runs through my head

Fuck highlight reels

No social media thought leadership or motivational bullshit

Just chaos, curiosity, love, fear, compassion, and judgment.

All that shit.

Enjoy

Why subscribe

Subscribe if you’re interested in:

  • What building a creative business actually looks like, day to day

  • The decisions that don’t make it into announcements or case studies

  • The process over polish

  • Hearing ideas worked through in real time, not just written after the fact

  • Writing and audio that’s direct, human, and occasionally uncomfortable

You won’t get:

  • Hustle culture

  • Vague inspiration

  • “Here’s what I learned” LinkedIn energy

You will get:

  • Clear thinking (sometimes, maybe, occasionally, close to never)

  • Real context

  • Notes and audio from someone actively doing the work

How this shows up

I post twice a week.

I like writing, but I get my thoughts out better in audio format. So we fin to do both.

I don’t have a set cadence because inspiration happens whenever and wherever. You good with that? Cool!

This is a living record, not a finished product.

One last thing

I’m not writing or recording to build an audience.
I’m doing this because I have shit to say and because saying it out loud keeps me honest.

If that resonates, you’ll probably feel at home here.
